Who We Are
“What if…?” is a powerful question, but only when the response is taking action. God planted a seed in the heart of a middle school teacher that grew into what would become Reach Them to Teach Them!
Reach Them to Teach Them exists to be a source of appreciation, inspiration, and challenge for educators.
Appreciation. Most people appreciate educators, but we know what it takes to pour your life into your students. We understand the dilemma of missing out on time with your family to attend sporting events, musicals, concerts, and other events for your students. We know that countless educators make incredible sacrifices with their time, finances, and heart, and we thank you for it.
Inspiration. With the incredible demands placed on educators today, there are simply not enough hours in the day to find and plan engaging moments in your classroom that are intentionally designed to engage students and promote relevant conversations. We’ve done the searching for you. These brief videos can be used as “openers,” to start class or as “closers,” to end class on a positive note. Check out our Resources page for a little inspiration and try them in your class.
Challenge. Without action, Reach Them to Teach Them would be a motivational event for educators, and we want to be more than that. We want every educator to come away from a Reach Them to Teach Them event challenged to leverage the power of their influence in a positive way.
The Lucille E. Hill Award
Every year, we seek to honor those among us who serve unselfishly through our Lucille E. Hill Award. Our team solicits nominations from the public. These nominations are read by our Lucille E. Hill team and four finalists and one winner is determined. Each finalist and winner is awarded a gift bag, preferential seating at the event and is invited to a special dinner in their honor prior to event. Our hope is that we can give some special recognition to those who unselfishly serve behind the scenes and honor those who do what needs to be done when they think no one sees them.
